Don’t get it twisted–it’s FULL MOOD, BOOK NOT BROOKE, and JUNIPER JEFFERIES at DRKMTTR COLLECTIVE next week! This is a bill sent from above. FULL MOOD is a fantastic, magical duo composed of Miranda McLaughlin and Nick Morelly. They’ve really captured something special–they’ve spun a homegrown sound on their dreamy and illustrious soundscapes. You know when it’s super bright out and the sun is reflecting off the water and it looks like a bunch of stars on the water? That’s what FULL MOOD sounds like (check out that exact feeling at the end of their video for “2 U”!)

BOOK NOT BROOKE is the solo project of Book Vespoli, bassist and singer for the newest hitmakers in town, BABY WAVE. Book has one of the most versatile and unique voices I think I’ve ever heard–listen to “Barely Even Found,” and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Additionally, the production on her songs is immaculate. There’s so many different things happening on songs like “Under Wraps,” I find myself trying to pick out every thing that’s going on, it feels like there’s a million easter eggs. I’ve yet to see Book as BOOK NOT BROOKE, but I’m really excited to see her. ALSO–for the heads–there’s a REALLY SICK MACCA AND WINGS cover and I really hope that she does it next week!!!

Rounding out the bill is none other than JUNIPER JEFFERIES. Juniper is an amazing songwriter–one of her more recent singles “DIRT” is a fast-paced HEATER that sounds like if CRUMB and KATE BUSH collabed on a track while the TWIN PEAKS episode “Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer” was playing in the background. That was a mouthful–but you get it. She creates a dynamic live set that creates a physical reaction from the crowd just as much as it creates an emotional reaction.
