Somehow it’s already the last day of tour, and we’re nearing the end of the endless summer 2024 tour. We’re playing today in Belgium at a festival in Leffinge, then we’re flying home out of Brussels tomorrow. I’m not gonna say I’m excited to go home, but I’m excited to go home.

The past two shows in London and Brighton were amazing! We played with our EU booking agent’s band HANDCUFF both shows, and they were great. It’s real loud and fast, and it’s always fun watching your business professional associates let loose. Thanks for having us along, Duncan and co.!

Oh, the other day in London I’m convinced I almost met MACCA himself. Not to be annoying but I love Paul McCartney more than any other band, artist, or musician. Those songs are cracked. Well so anyways I had an in at ABBEY ROAD, but they were unavailable that day for a tour. No sweat, still went over and saw the place. MACCA’s touring guitar player pulls into the studio and heads in, and at this point I’m sure he’s there. Oh well I tell myself, this was a cool experience. I head into the gift shop to buy my dad an overpriced Abbey Road shirt and strike up a conversation with someone who actually works in the studio. Yada yada, we talk and do formalities and then asks if I want to see the studio. YESIWANNASEETHESTUDIOANDROMISETOKEEPITREALLYCHILL is what I’m thinking, but I hit him with a very cool “Sure!”. He says gimme a sec, lemme go triple check mate, I say cool. From the gift shop entrance I see him through the front window and he waves at me and I wave back, and he comes out and says “ahh mate any other day of the week you’d be more than welcome to come see the place, but today the studio is just unavailable. Sorry about that mate!” And I said no sweat! All good, have a great day! I buy my shirt and move on my merry way, leave from the St. John’s Wood station and head back to meet the band in Camdentown. While nothing is proven, I’m convinced. 

Hm, what else? All the shows have been great. We’ve all gotten sick at some point, but have recovered. I feel lucky having got to spend essentially every day this summer alongside these people, getting to see the world and play shows for folks across the pond. It’s been hard on my mental at points, but they’ve made it easier, alongside folks back home (shoutout Roan, Will, Deshaun, my ma). 

Anyways, enough sap! People don’t care about that. We’re headed back out in a week and some change with BASEMENT, NARROW HEAD, and OVLOV. If yr in one of these cities come say hey! Til the next go around!
